Phantom Blade Zero and The Wolf Among Us Remastered both land this week
A new action game and a remaster of a Telltale favourite were scheduled to launch within a day of each other.

Two long-awaited games were scheduled to launch within a day of each other this week: Phantom Blade Zero on 28 and 29 October, depending on your time zone, and The Wolf Among Us Remastered on 29 October. 1,2,4
Phantom Blade Zero is an action game from S-Game built around intense combat and action platforming, with actor Donnie Yen as its lead character. 3 Kami Labs reports that it uses Unreal Engine 5 and that the launch is simultaneous worldwide: Steam lists 28 October, which is 7 pm Pacific on the 28th in the US and about 1 pm on 29 October in Melbourne. It is on PlayStation 5 and PC. 2,3
The Wolf Among Us Remastered brings Telltale's story back as a single package. The original was released in five episodes across 2013 and 2014. The remaster arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and PC, and adds a Noir Mode that turns its cel-shaded look monochrome. 1
Game Informer says the remaster is meant to help players catch up ahead of The Wolf Among Us 2, which it lists for 2027. PC Gamer's October release calendar also puts both games in the final week of the month. 1,4
